Description:
· Ceridian is looking for a Senior Developer with a strong background in Clipper, xHarbour, xBase++, or Foxpro.
· The right candidate must have 5+ years of experience in developing xBase applications, as well as, be familiar with SQL, .NET applications, Visual Studio 2008, and the .NET framework.
· The successful candidate will work on development of new application functionality as well as maintenance of our existing Benefits Administration applications.
· Job responsiblities will be facilitated through participation in an enterprise software development lifecycle that will include interaction with project managers, analysts, other developers and internal / external business partners.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
· 5+ years of Application design and development experience using the following technologies: Clipper, SQL Server, C#, .NET
· Experience with software architecture and working on a team developing applications
· Experience utilizing a formal software development methodology (Agile and or Waterfall approaches) and multi-tiered development environments (development, QC, UAT, promo, production)
· Experience creating artifacts such as software requirement specifications and design documents
· Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application performance issues
· Motivated, self-starting, team oriented
· Oracle or SQL Server a plus
· Advantage Database Server a plus
