Department Chair-Business Administration
The Department Chair will be responsible for the following:
· Works with the Campus President and Dean of Academic Affairs in preparing any necessary curricula changes
· Identifies needed program changes, industry demanded changes, new technology and any significant factors that may cause a need for curricula or course revision/update
· Responsible for submitting for review and approval all curricula changes for the program to the Curriculum Committee
· Identifies and reports needed equipment, supplies, resources and training tools
· Reviews texts, training materials and program evaluations, projects, assignments, etc
· Works with the campus Librarian to coordinate and recommend books, resources, periodicals, etc, for the programs
· Oversees Library acquisitions for the program in conjunction with Campus Librarian
· Networks and exchanges ideas, "teaching tips", information, new concepts, industry information, books, videos, etc
· Teaches classes in the discipline
Build and maintain student schedules
· Recruiting additional programmatic faculty as needed
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Department Chair for the business disciplines will need a minimum of a PhD in Business from a regionally accredited institution and 5 years of business experience and prior teaching experience. Must also have the educational qualifications to teach in various business concentrations (i.e Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Management). This is a full time position that requires day and evening availability
